About:
The Scarpantoni family originated from the Abruzzi region of central Italy on the Adriatic Coast. Domenico Scarpantoni immigrated to Australia in 1952 to work around the country before deciding to settle in the McLaren Vale region.

In 1979 the Scarpantoni Estate winery was built with the aid Dom and Paula’s two sons Michael and Filippo on the McLaren Flat property. To this day the award winning winery is very much a family business. Sons, Michael & Filippo carry on the winemaking tradition with every step of production.
