About: Grant Burge is a fifth generation Barossan vigneron and winemaker who throughout his career has been one of the most respected and innovative forces in the Australian wine industry. The fascinating history of the Burge family and their long association with winemaking in the Barossa can be traced back to March 1855, when noted tailor John Burge, his wife Eliza and their 2 sons immigrated from Hillcot, near Pewsey in Wiltshire England, to the Barossa. Grant Burge now carries the winemaking tradition into the 21st century. Since 1988, Grant Burge Wines have grown to become one of the top 10 privately owned wine companies in Australia.
